Divorce And Family Law

Divorce, child custody disputes and other issues in family law can be emotionally difficult, technically demanding and financially draining. They also call on you to make decisions that will have a lasting impact on your life, and those of your children. It’s very important that you seek help from a lawyer who can defend your rights and watch out for your best interests and those of your children.

At my office in Nashville, Tennessee, I help my clients reach the best results they can in issues such as:

  • Divorce
  • Property division
  • Child custody
  • Child support
  • Alimony
  • Adoption

Many of my clients come to me at a very painful period in their lives. I try to make them feel comfortable and secure, knowing that I will help them with their burdens and guide them over the legal and technical hurdles they must cross.

I have been representing clients for more than 30 years. Whenever possible, I help clients resolve their family law disputes through mediation or other forms of negotiation. But when the parties cannot reach agreement on their own, I have the skills and experience to fight effectively for my clients at trial.

Property Division And Parenting Plans

The two most time-consuming parts of a typical divorce are the division of marital property and the creation of a parenting plan for shared child custody. Even in relatively amicable divorces, where no children are involved, property division requires scrutinizing financial information and detailed negotiation to reach a settlement.

In addition to property division, divorcing parents of young children must go through the process of dividing their responsibilities and working out a detailed plan for parenting time and support.

I help clients negotiate in a way that protects their children, defends their rights and sets them up for a settlement that will give them the resources they need as they begin the next chapter in their lives.
